These Installation Instructions are extremely important! Please follow them exactly!
Flash MX 2004:
1. Open the Flash Configuration Directory:
- Windows: \Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash MX 2004\language\Configuration
- Macintosh: HD/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Flash
MX 2004/language/Configuration/
3. Change the Global Flash Actionscript 2.0 Classpath to $(LocalData)/Flex Style Classes. To change the Global Flash Actionscript 2.0 Classpath:
- Open the Preferences Dialog by going to Edit > Preferences.
- Select the Actionscript tab.
- Click the Actionscript 2.0 Settings... button.
- Double click the $(LocalData)/Classes item, and change
it to $(LocalData)/Flex Style Classes.
Flash 8:
1. Open the Flash Configuration Directory:
- Windows: \Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash MX 2004\language\Configuration
- Macintosh: HD/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Flash MX 2004/language/Configuration/
3. Make a copy of the Classes folder. Name it Classes_Backup. Now that you have backed it up, completely original Classes folder.
4. Download The Extension, saving it to an easy to find location. Install the extension by double-clicking the saved file. You may receive warnings about files being replaced - you must allow the installer to replace them.
5. Rename the Flex Style Classes folder you created above to Classes. Reopen Flash.
When you download the software, save it to an easy to find location. This will prevent hassles in the event you need to re-install.
