The SingleLoader element is displayed when a single image is being loaded; the GroupLoader element is displayed when a group of images (such as an entire gallery) is being preloaded.
The UILoader creates the actual loader display based on the type style parameter. This new loader (which is, based on the type, an mx.controls.ProgressBar or custom
variant thereof) inherits all of the styles directly from the UILoader instance. Because of this, all relevant loader styles set on the UILoader instance will directly affect the loader display.
It may be helpful to reference the mx.controls.ProgressBar documentation for more possible style values in addition to the common ones listed directly on this class.
Generally, the themeColor, trackColors and barColor properties are the most important and affect the most settings.
Layout XML Syntax Example:
Because the UILoader subclass elements are used to display all loading progress, it is often best to place it inside an overlay-type layout view.
The UILoader should NOT be used by itself; instead, it should be implemented through a SingleLoader or GroupLoader instance.
The UILoader class inherits all of the tag attributes of its superclass. The themeColor and color styles have customized defaults.
